Bethânia returns to her land, where the family’s old sugar mill was built, the Wanderley Mill. Between photographs, fantastic creatures, bills to pay and workers claiming their rights to the land, Bethânia faces herself in a present where both the past and the future look menacing.

Renata Pinheiro trabalha como diretora, diretora de arte e artista plástica. Seu curta Superbarroco (2009) foi exibido na Quinzena dos Realizadores de Cannes. Seu primeiro longa, Amor, plástico e barulho (2013) ganhou três prêmios em Brasília. Sérgio Oliveira é diretor e roteirista. Realizou curtas como Schenberguianas (2006) e Praça Walt Disney (2011), além dos longas Estradeiros (2011) e Super Orquestra Arcoverdense de Ritmos Americanos (2016).
