Rachel is a witty, lovable thirty-something who hangs out with artists and bohemian types in Silver Lake, a posh Los Angeles neighborhood. Uninhibited, she visits a strip club on a mission to spice up her marriage, where she meets a dancer named McKenna and becomes obsessed saving her. She decides do adopt the stripper as a governess and nanny, but this deed leads to unimaginable changes in her life and the lives of everyone in her community. Best director award at the Sundance Film Festival 2013.
Jill Soloway
Born in the US, in 1972. With over a decade of screenwriting experience for shows such as Six Feet Under (for which she was nominated for an Emmy three times) and How to Make it in America – both for HBO – she debuted as a director with the short Una hora por favora, awarded at the Sundance Film Festival. Currently, she is developing an original series for Amazon. This is her first feature film.
