Annoyed by the loud music coming from next door, aspiring singer Rudy goes and knocks at his neighbor’s door, to finds teenager Marco, who has Down’s syndrome and has been abandoned by his drug-addict mother. Rudy hands the child over to a social worker, but a few days later catches sight of him on the streets. Touched, he decides to take him to live with him and his partner Paul, a closeted district attorney. But when local authorities find out they are gay, a lengthy legal battle ensues. Travis Fine

Born in 1968, in Atlanta, US. He attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where students worked as cast and crew members in his indie film debut The Others (1997). Years later, he directed the award-winning drama The Space Between (2010).
