After the recent discovery of large oil wells along the coast of Ghana, an area undiscovered by the main oil companies of the world, the small Texan company Kosmos Energy seems to have struck gold. But everything changes when the new local authorities start to think about how to get hold of some of the profit. Drawing a parallel with the historic exploitation of black gold in Nigeria, the documentary reveals how the oil trade operates in politically unstable and corrupt countries, and how the oil traders take advantage of this instability.
