Life in his remote community is increasingly difficult for the aborigine Charlie. While he dreams of having his own house the government insists on interfering in the day-to-day of his people with laws that only benefit white men and don’t make any sense. For Charlie, it goes too far when he has his hunting spear confiscated by the policeman Luke. Outraged, the aborigine steals the police car and go towards the forest with the aim of connecting to his ancestral way of life. Prize for Best Actor in Un Certain Regard, Cannes Festival 2014.
