During a weekend in 1980, software programmers gather together for a round of computer chess, transporting the viewer back to an age where the rivalry between technology and the human spirit was still possible. The film presents a group of eccentric geniuses gifted with the ability to teach a metal box how to beat a man at his own game, paving the way for the birth of artificial intelligence, which is still going strong today. Official selection at the Berlin, Toronto and Sundance Film Festivals 2013.
