Trailer

Ossi, the spoiled daughter of rich oyster farmer Quaker, wants an even better marriage than the one between the daughter of the shoeshine maker and a count. To accomplish this, she will look for prospective husbands among members of royalty. Her attentions are soon turned to Prince Nucki, but instead of the real prince, the hasty young woman ends up carting his valet off to the altar. Exuberant and sophisticated, the film already bears traces of what would be commonly referred to as “The Lubitsch Touch”. Restored version.
