During the winter, a serious accident occurs inside the Diego Star, a Russian cargo ship. It doesn’t take long for the blame to be placed on Traoré, a mechanic from the Ivory Coast. After the ship is towed away to the nearest dock, where it must go through massive repair, the crew seeks shelter among the inhabitants of the local village. Traoré bonds with Fanny, a young single mother who is slowly charmed by the mechanic’s sweetness. But an investigation into the accident will rock their budding relationship. Frédérick Pelletier
Born in Canada, in 1975. After graduating in Fine Arts, he went to the University of Concordia, where he graduated in film production. He was a critic at electronic magazine Hors Champ from 2000 to 2005 and worked both at the Quebec Cinemathèque and the National Film Board of Canada. He directed several shorts, such as L'hiver longtemps (2005) and L'air de rien (2006) before debuting in features with Diego Star.
