A few years following the battle of Majin Buu, the god of creation, Wiss, and destruction, Bills, gather to seek a balance for the world. After waking up from a long sleep only to find out galactic lord Frieza has been defeated by Son Goku, Bills challenges Super Sayajin, who is easily vanquished. It is now up to the heroes to find a way to stop the gods of destruction. Based on an original story by Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z, Battle of Gods is the first feature film in the series in 17 years and the first Japanese film to premier in the Imax format.

Born in Saitama, Japan, in 1961. He directed several episodes of Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya and Digimon Fusion, apart from having worked in manga adaptations such as Fist of the North Star (1986), Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (1996), Street Fighter Alpha (1999), Yu-Gi-Oh (2004), Zatch Bell (2005), Hell Girl (2005), Naruto Shippuden (2009) and Pokémon Zoroark: Master of Illusions (2010).
