A young girl and a shepherd, both coming from different world, meet and spend one day journeying through the high plains of Southern France. They are looking for some of the shepherd’s animals, which have strayed from the band. While they walk, they talk about life, work and love. They eventually come across a local bandit, who wants to go to the Montpellier region, but finds it hard to make the first move.
