At the age of 80, José Mujica, former president of Uruguay, urban guerrilla member and political prisoner, is today a global ecological leader. He might be the world’ last true revolutionary. His life feels like a movie. And he chose the acclaimed Serbian director Emir Kusturica to tell his life journey. Together they establish an intimate dialogue that explores the meaning of existence as political commitment and poetic adventure. The filming began in 2014, during Mujica’s last days as president. Kusturica captures his unique point of view about the world we live in. Venice 2018.
