Eva Hesse was one of the most important postwar artists in the United States. Before dying from of a brain tumor at the age of 34, she had become, in just a decade, a central figure in the post-minimalism movement with ground-breaking and dense works that challenged easy categorization. This documentary - the first to give an account of both her life and work - includes testimonials from important names, such as Sol LeWitt, Richard Serra, and Dan Graham, that rescue the passionate personality of one of the first women to challenge yet another male-dominated professional environment.
