Dr. Ryan Stone, a physician and space engineer, is on her first assignment outside Earth alongside astronaut Matt Kowalsky, who, in turn, is on the last mission of his career. While walking around their space shuttle, they are attacked by a meteor shower that cuts them off their Earth base and leave them adrift in space. Now they must work together in order to survive. Written by director Alfonso Cuáron (Children of Men) and his son Jonás, the film’s entire narrative is centered on only two actors. Opening film at the Venice Film Festival 2013.
