On a very dark night, a strange couple carries a child, fleeing from other strange beings. Pepe, their little son, is the only possibility of salvation for an endangered species. With sadness, the parents leave the boy on the grandmother’s doorstep, a sorceress who manufactures magical articles to sell on the internet. Pepe grows up causing trouble and believing he's the best. At the age of 11, he finds out he was adopted and decides to look for his parents. Accompanied by his two best friends, Marilu and Gastón, he embarks on a great adventure. The film version of the TV series by the same name.

Nasceu em Santos, São Paulo, em 1979. É um dos principais nomes da animação brasileira. Seu curta Historietas assombradas (para crianças malcriadas) (2005) foi exibido em festivais pelo mundo e ganhou o Redentor de melhor curta pelo público no Festival do Rio. O filme deu origem a uma série homônima, em exibição no Cartoon Network desde 2013. Dirigiu ainda Icarus (2007) e O menino que plantava invernos (2008). Este é seu primeiro longa.
