​Documentary on the American painter and filmmaker Julian Schnabel. During the installation of his
retrospective at the Peter Brant Foundation, in Connecticut, his dear friend Lou Reed dies, leading Julian to reflect on his origins, the beginning of his career, his life in the eighties in New York, his desire to make films, his personal and artistic crises and all he has done over the past 40 years. All of this told visually (with footage from his personal archive) and also through the stories of Julian, his family, friends and other people who crossed his path. ​

Pappi Corsicato

​Born in 1960 in Naples, Italy. He is a screenwriter and director. In 1980 he moved to New York, where he studied dance, choreography and acting. He shot his first feature film, Libera, in 1992, which was acclaimed by international critics. His other works include The Vesuvians, Il Seme della Discordia, Il Volto di un'Altra and the operas Carmen and The Human Voice.​
