Eve is a young chambermaid working at one of Mexico City's most luxurious hotels. Guests are so wealthy that Eve can only imagine what their lives are like through
intimate fantasies triggered by the belongings left behind. Long and exhausting shifts prevent Eve from
taking care of her son, but she believes the situation will improve if she is promoted to the executive level suites, with busier schedules. With this goal, she enrolls in the hotel’s adult education program. Two unlikely work connections help her find the courage she really seeks.
Lila Avilés
Actress, director and screenwriter. She studied with some of the greatets theatre experts in Mexico, such as Martin Acosta, Sandra Felix and Juliana Faesler. She also studied film screenwriting with Beatriz Novaro and Paula Marcovich. Her first feature film, The Chambermaid, had its world premier at the Toronto Festival and was nominated for awards at the London, Stockholm and San Sebastián festivals.
