The intelligent 36-year-old Pierre-Paul Daoust is forced to work as a delivery driver so he can afford a decent life. One day, delivering a package, he finds himself on the scene of an armed robbery gone bad: two deaths and bags stuffed with cash are left on the floor. Pierre-Paul has to face a dilemma: walk away empty handed or grab the money and run? The new film by the director of The Barbarian Invasions and The Decline of the American Empire makes a spirituous and touching analyses of money’s overwhelming dominance in a society in which all other values seem to have faded.
