Nick and Meg, a couple of university professors in their 60s, live a peaceful life in Birmingham. In an attempt to bring some romance back into her life, Meg convinces her husband to spend a weekend in Paris in order to celebrate their 30th anniversary in the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon. Suddenly, a random encounter with a longtime friend will trigger some changes. A positive portrait of a couple searching for love and some measure of carelessness. Toronto Film Festival 2013.
Roger Michell
Born in South Africa. He has directed 11 features, including the international box-office hit Notting Hill (1999), starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, and Venus (2006), for which Peter O’Toole was nominated for an Oscar. In 1998, he was selected to compete at Locarno with Titanic Town (1998), winner of the ecumenical jury.
