In 1985, the Philadelphia police bombed the house where members of MOVE, an African-American radical group, lived. The bombing set off a fire that destroyed 61 houses and killed 11 people. The incident brought to an end the tense relations the group had with American institutions for years. The authorities in the place were allegedly repeating “Let it burn” during the fire, that lasted for hours. Mixing courtroom footage and interviews, this film reconstructs that day in which the concepts of democracy and human rights were put in check. Tribeca Film Festival 2013.
