Daniel Gonçalves was born with a disability that no doctor was able to diagnose. In this personal
documentary, the filmmaker retraces his journey to shed light on his condition. His story and his
reflections are evoked through family archive footage and scenes shot in current times.
The 34-year-old Rio de Janeiro resident has directed the documentaries Tem bala aí? (2008), Luz guia (2012), Como seria? (2014) and Pela estrada afora (2015). My Name is Daniel is his first feature.
