A union leader is assassinated by order of the corrupt Governor Vidal. Octavio, a friend of the murdered leader, looks for documents that prove the murder. Hunted by Vidal’s henchmen, Octavio finds himself with Julieta, an old friend from university whom he was in love with. Julieta joins him on his search for the documents, while she weighs up the love she feels for him and the commitment she has to her family.
Julio Bracho
Nasceu em 1909, em Durango, México. Dirigiu mais de 40 longas, muitos deles exibidos em importantes festivais internacionais. Dentre sua vasta obra, destacam-se Crepúsculo (1945) e A mulher de todos (1946), ambos exibidos no Festival de Veneza; e A ausente, exibido no Festival de Cannes 1952. Foi indicado ao prêmio Ariel do México de melhor diretor por Cantaclaro (1946), Rosenda (1948) e Paraíso (1951). Faleceu em 1978 na Cidade do México.
