Young Kuba leads a normal life: he is an aspiring swimming champion, has been training for 15 years, lives with his mom and has a girlfriend. He seems content with the eventual sex with Sylwia and his mom’s affection. But he has also been noticing the guys at the gym. One night, on the opening of a gallery exhibit, Kuba is bored and out of place until he meets Michal. Sylwia notices the fascination in Kuba’s eyes and, out of love, keeps it to herself. But Michal will change Kuba’s life completely. He decides to give up swimming and says he has never felt anything that intense. Tribeca 2013.
Tomasz Wasilewski
Born in 1980, in Torun, Poland. He has graduated at the National Film School of Lodz and worked as an assistant-director in numerous plays and films. He has also worked in international co-productions such as Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist (2009) and Danish filmmaker Per Fly’s The woman who Dreamed of a Man (2010). His directorial debut was In a Bedroom (2012), which was a fixture at the festival circuit.
