An intimate look at the life and work of artist Richard Artschwager, deceased in February 2013 at the age of 89. Revered by his peers, he was against labels or specific styles and produced an extensive body of work spreading from Pop, to Minimalism, to Conceptualism. His works were always uplifting and intelligent. This documentary traces his trajectory and follows him around his studio, playing the piano at home, walking around the New Mexico canyons and traveling around the world. Interviews with Agnes Gund, John Torreando and Malcolm Morley add to the mosaic on this irreverent artist.
