Out of memories kept from a long voyage, a letter is sent to the future. Alone, away from home and about to turn 30, a Brazilian woman embarks on a journey to Africa. In her letter to her daughter, she tells of encounters with women, their culture and times. A journal, a road movie and an invitation to everyone that deals with their own paths.
Eliza Capai
A journalist graduated at ECA/USP, since 2001 she has been directing documentaries and has worked as a correspondent in over 25 countries for Brazilian and foreign news outlets. She made the short Georgina's Magic Wand (2008), winner of the audience award at Radio Canada's Migration contest. She has also directed TV documentaries such as O carnaval de Tabaré (2006), Saia por aí (2008), Africanas (2010), Emigrantes (2011) and Cicloativistas (2012).
