Allan, a biologist specialized in birds, waits on an island for the birds migration in the company of his wife Clea, his sister Lisbeth, and his son Bob. Nearby, a prisoner has just escaped from prison. Inexplicably, Clea seems to have already been waiting and leaves him blankets and food in an empty canoe. A storm will change the direction of the birds and of everyone on the island.
