One day, during a random encounter on the road, the architect Jack murders a woman. This event gives the character an unexpected pleasure, leading him to kill dozens of people over the course of twelve years. Due to the authorities neglect and local residents’ indifference, it is not difficult for the criminal to plan his crimes, carry them out in front of everyone and keep the corpses in a big refrigerator. Lars von Trier
Born in 1956 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a multi-awarded filmmaker and screenwriter. His filmography includes big hits from the Nordic cinema, such as Breaking the Waves (1996), winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Festival, The Idiots (1998), Dancer in the Dark (2000), winner of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Festival, Dogville (2003) and Melancholia (2011).
