Janet has just been appointed minister of the Parallel Cabinet, a group of veteran opposition representatives who form an alternative cabinet to the Westminster government. This achievement is the height of her political career and she plans to celebrate the feat alongside Bill, her husband, and some close friends. However, the event takes an unexpected turn when Bill decides to reveal two shocking secrets. Nasceu em Londres, em 1949. Fez seus primeiros curtas aos 14 anos, com uma câmera 8mm. Desde 1969 trabalha como cineasta, performer, coreógrafa, dançarina e musicista. Em 1992, dirigiu Orlando (1992), exibido em Veneza e que recebeu duas indicações ao Oscar. Dirigiu ainda The Tango Lesson (Veneza 1997), Porque choram os homens (Veneza 2000), Yes (Toronto 2004), Rage (Berlim 2009) e Ginger & Rosa (Toronto 2012), entre outros.
