During the Expo Milano 2015, renowned chef Massimo Bottura, whose restaurant Osteria Francescana was voted best in the world in 2016, invited 60 of his international colleagues to join him in transforming food waste into delicious and nutritious meals to the hungriest residents of Italy. In a kitchen in Milan, two very different worlds were brought together for a unique social experiment. This film captures the relationship between the best chefs in the world and the most disadvantaged group in the city, formed by refugees, recovering addicts, and prostitutes.
