Trailer

Preserving film is a challenge around the world. But nothing compares to the efforts of a group of dedicated Afghan cinema-lovers who literally dig into the country’s cinematic past. Attempting to recover more than 8,000 hours of film, they risked their lives to hide during the Taliban regime. The history of Afghan cinema would be lost were it not for this courageous group of cinema lovers, who currently seek to preserve and restore fictional works and documentaries produced in the country. Selected for the Toronto Film Festival 2015.
