1982, Stockholm, Sweden. Bobo, Kiara and Hedvig are girls aged 12 and 13 who wander the streets of the city. Brave, confused and strange, they must learn very early to fend for themselves. They decide to start a punk band without any instruments, even when everyone around them claims the genre is dead. The film marks the return of Lukas Moodysson to the naturalistic ambiance of his great hit, Fucking Amal, after a period of dense experimental films such as Lylia 4-Ever. Lukas Moodysson
Born in 1969, in Sweden. In 1998, he became known worldwide with Fucking Amal. His following film was Together (2000), an equally light, upbeat title. He started making radical changes in his language and aesthetics with heavy drama 4-Ever Lylia (2002) and continued on experimenting with A hole in my heart (2004). In 2009, he was part of the official competition at the Berlin Film Festival with Mammoth (2009).
