Zazie is a twelve-year-old girl who lives in the interior of France with her mother who sends her to Paris for two days, so that she can stay with her boyfriend alone. Zazie stays in the house of a somewhat eccentric uncle. Her dream is to travel on the underground but to her dismay, it is on strike. The headstrong child decides to get to know Paris on her own and plunges into the city's chaos, getting to know all the most typical Parisians.
Louis Malle
Louis Malle nasceu em outubro de 1932, na França, e faleceu em 1995. Junto com Jacques-Yves Cousteau dirigiu O mundo silencioso, vencedor da Palma de Ouro no Festival de Cannes de 1956 e do Oscar de Melhor Documentário em 1957. Logo depois lançou seu primeiro longa-metragem ficcional, Ascensor para o cadafalso (1958). Ganhou em duas ocasiões o Leão de Ouro no Festival de Veneza: primeiro em 1980, com Atlantic City; e depois com Adeus, meninos, em 1987.
