Niteroi will get a visit today from Academy Award winning director Michel Hazanavicius (photo, with festival director Ilda Santiago), who will be at Reserva Cultural Niterói 2 at 19.10 to introduce his latest feature, Le Redoutable.

Argentine born actor, Nahuel Perez Biscayart, will also be in Niteroi at the Reserva Cultural Niterói 2 at 21.10 to present Robin Campillo’s 120 battements par minute, the French submission for this year’s foreign language Oscar. The film is one of the year’s most talked about and critically acclaimed.

It is getting close to the last chance to see many films at this year’s Festival do Rio and at 19.00 at Estação NET Botafogo 1 director Paulo Thiago and producers Gláucia Camargos and Christina Camargos will introduce the appropriately titled A última chance.

Black Code, part of Frontiers, screens at 19.00 the Cinemateca do MAM and on hand to discuss the film will be Felipe Peçanha, Bruno Teles and Ivana Bentes

The Expectations section of the festival has two galas on Friday. At 21.00 at Kinoplex São Luiz 2 director Pedro Coutinho will introduce Todas as razões para esquecer, alongisde actress Bianca Comparato and actor Johnny Massaro. And at 21.30 producer Rodrigo Teixeira will present Patti Cake$ at Estação NET Botafogo 1.

Last, but not least, director Pablo Giorgelli will introduce Invisible at 21.45 at Kinoplex São Luiz 4, part of Latin Première
