Italy, 1944. During World War II, a mine hunting squad from the Brazilian Expeditionary Forces (FEB) suffers a panic attack. Desperate, hungry and cold, the young soldiers must either face court-martial or get back to fighting. The group’s remaining personnel move on to another daring military goal: to disarm Italy’s most feared minefield. On the way, they meet a regretful Italian who wants to become a partisan and a German officer tired of war. Helped by their former enemy, they manage to accomplish a nearly impossible mission.
Vicente Ferraz
He is a partner at Três Mundos Produções. He studied communication at PUC and film at the Santo Antonio de los Baños School of Cinema. He directed I am Cuba, the Siberian mMmmoth (2004), selected for Sundance and winner of numerous awards. He made the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes with the anthology film State of the World (2007), for which he directed the episode Germano. His last film was El último comandante (2010).
