A group of scientists digs the land deep in the Amazon searching for a specific and extremely fertile black soil, to be used for agricultural purposes. As they get closer to the home of the Kawa indigenous tribe, they realize that the land acquires energetic and sensorial powers.
Sérgio Andrade
Born in Manaus, he is a director and screenwriter and has collaborated in productions for TV and cinema in the Amazon. His first feature, Jonathas' Forest (2012), was screened at the Rio, Rotterdam, Taipei and Prague festivals, among others. His second feature, Time Was Endless (2016), premiered at the Berlinale in 2016 and was awarded best film at the Queer Lisboa and Vitória Festivals.
