Gloria is a solitary widow who works at a morgue cleaning bodies. Convinced that she needs to find a new boyfriend for her friend Madeleine, she meets the attractive shoe salesman Michel. The two start a relationship and become accomplices and begin murdering widows who are seduced by Michel through a dating site. Based on the real story of the famous couple Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck, previously made for the screen in 1969 with the film The Honeymoon Killers.
