The film tells the moving story of David, a man earning his living doing peculiar gigs. When he meets Lena, a young woman who has just moved to Paris, he falls madly in love. But his life is brutally disrupted when his sister is murdered violently and unexpectedly. In addition to having to deal with the shock and pain, David now finds himself alone with the responsibility to look after Amanda, his 7-year-old niece. The film was screened at the Venice Film Festivall.
Mikhaël Hers
Born in 1975 in Paris. In 2006 he directed his first medium-length film, Charell, which was freely adapted from a Patrick Modiano’s romance and screened at the Cannes Festival. In 2009, his film Montparnasse was awarded at the Cannes Festival’s Critics’ Week. In 2010, his first feature film, Memory Lane, premiered at the Locarno Festival. Ce Sentiment de l’été, his second film, was released in 2015.
