Documentary about the sound creations of Getúlio Marinho (1889–1964), who was responsible for recording macumba chants. The film investigates the influence of religions of African origins in Brazilian music and popular culture.

Chico Serra

Researcher and director of short films and documentaries. He was curator of Mostra do Filme Livre from 2004 to 2017. As researcher, he was awarded the Rumos Itaú Cultural prize for his project "Samba and Liturgy".
