Fatih Akin
Nasceu na Alemanha, em 1973, em uma família de imigrantes turcos. Ganhou fama internacional com Contra a parede, vencedor do Urso de Ouro no Festival de Berlim 2004. Dirigiu ainda Atravessando a ponte - O som de Istambul (2005), Do outro lado (2007), melhor roteiro e prêmio do júri ecumênico em Cannes, e Soul Kitchen (2009), prêmio especial do júri em Veneza, entre outros. Em 2016, dirigiu Tschick, que também integra a programação do Festival do Rio.
