The actress and director Clara Bellar visits several countries in search of families who chose not to school their children and instead, leave them free to learn motivated by their passions. Traveling through France, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, where it is illegal not to attend school, the filmmaker investigates children’s innate desire to learn. Clare Bellar has been an actress in films such as Les Rendez-vous de Paris by Eric Rohmer and AI – Artificial Intelligence by Steven Spielberg. The film is Clara Bellar’s debut as a feature length director.
Clara Bellar
Nasceu em 1972 em Paris, e trabalha como atriz, cantora, diretora e produtora. Atuou em filmes de Eric Rohmer (Les rendez-vous de Paris) e Steven Spielberg (AI – Inteligência artificial). Como cantora, gravou dois álbuns no Brasil, com participações de Chico Buarque, João Bosco e Milton Nascimento. Estudou na New York Film Academy e estreou na direção com o curta Watermelon Man (2008). Este é seu primeiro documentário em longa metragem.
