Trapped in a destiny she did not choose, Leni joins her father, Reverend Pearson, in his Evangelical mission. The car is having trouble working, so they stop at the garage of Gringo, a man who wants nothing to do with religion, and lives with the teenager, Tapioca. Time drags on, a storm is coming and Reverend Pearson is gets obsessed with saving Tapioca's soul. Leni sees echoes of her own story in the power Pearson exerts over the young man and faces up to him for the first time, believing her life will start at that very moment.

Paula Hernández

Paula Hernández (Argentina, 1969) studied at Universidad del Cine, took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus, and had projects funded by Berlinale Co-production Market, Programa Ibermedia, among others. Her previous films have won more than 20 awards in festivals around the world. The Sleepwalkers (2019) had its world premiere at TIFF and was chosen, among other films, for the San Sebastián Film Festival and AFI Fest.
