The story of singer Elis Regina, from her arrival in Rio de Janeiro, at 19, till her tragic and untimely death. Despite all hardships, meteoric success came and Elis’ life won national and international projection. From humble origins, the young woman is one of the greatests artists in the music industry, being considered, even today, the greatest Brazilian singer.
Hugo Prata
Film and television director. At TV Cultura, he co-directed Ra-Tim-Bum and Castelo Ra-Tim-Bum. In music business, he directed shows and DVDs for artists such as Ivete Sangalo, Lenine, Zélia Duncan, Os Mutantes, Titãs, Maria Rita, and Djavan, which resulted in MTV and Multishow channel awards. This is his first fiction feature film.
