Johnnie To makes this unusual and stylish musical, taking place in the world of big corporations. In the middle of the global crisis caused by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Miss Cheng, a feared and respected executive, prepares to float her billion-dollar company on the stock market. Ho Chung-ping, president of the company, who was once her mentor and is now her lover, promises her a large chunk of the shares as soon as the company is made pubic. Johnnie To
Born in 1955, in Hong Kong. He directed and produced over 50 feature films. He took part in the official competition at Cannes with Election (2005) and Vengeance (2009). He was selected to compete in Berlin with Sparrow (2008). He was also at the Venice Film Festival competition with Exiled (2006), Mad Detective (2007) and Life Without Principle (2011). He won a Golden Leopard for his Cinematic Achievements in Locarno, in 2012.
