A film-manifesto, Ugly, Me? was made after an acting workshop. Shot primarily in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, at Cinema Nosso, it also includes footage taken in Paris and Kerala (India). As diverse as a kaleidoscope, the film is comprised of images captured through several types of media and its key-concept is this very sign of diversity.
Helena Ignez
She starred in several films by Rogério Sganzerla, with whom she was married. With more than 50 years’ experience in several fronts, both in theater and film, she was honored in 2006 at the Fribourg Film Festival, in Switzerland. In 2012, a retrospective of her work was organized in the Kerala International Film Festival, in India, and she was member of the Rotterdam Film Festival Jury. She has directed films such as A miss e o dinossauro.
