After many years without seeing one anothe, Ayako meets her old school friend Yukari and invites her to work in her company. Yukari accepts but after a while Ayako starts to treat her in a cold and mean way. Feeling increasingly stressed by her friend’s contempt and without knowing the reasons for Ayako’s behavior, Yukari decides to confront her, hoping to interrupt the painful cycle of hate and resentment. Weren’t they great friends when they were teenagers? How long can old tensions go on for? Winner of the FIPRESCI prize at the Berlin Festival 2014.
Ayumi Sakamoto
Nasceu em Kumamoto, Japão, e mudou-se para Tóquio para estudar cinema. Trabalhou com diretores de renome como Shinya Tsukamoto, alternando-se nas funções de operadora de câmera, direção de fotografia e iluminação. Como cineasta, dirigiu videoclipes, documentários, shows e filmes de instalação. Forma é seu longa-metragem de estreia.
