Something terrifying hovers around the teenagers in a suburb of Detroit. Beautiful Jay, 19, does not seem to notice: she enjoys the fall with her sister Kelly, her school friends and her new boyfriend, Hugh, with whom she has her first sexual experience. After the fact, however, she cannot shake the feeling that someone – or something – is following her every move. As the threat becomes more real, Jay and her friends find out that she has become the main target of a grisly and inexplicable force. Shown at the Critics Week, Cannes Film Festival 2014.

Nasceu em 1974 nos EUA. Estudou na Wayne State University em Detroit e depois fez mestrado em cinema na Florida State University. Seu primeiro filme foi o curta-metragem Virgin (2002). Em 2010, dirigiu seu primeiro longa-metragem, a comédia The Myth of the American Sleepover, que foi selecionado para os festivais de Cannes e Chicago e premiado no SXSW.
