Divorced from his wife after having caught her with a lover, the detective Akikazu is in deep depression. Far from his family and guilt-ridden, he lives a life without much purpose, sustained by strong medication and bad thoughts. When his ex-wife asks for help to try to find her kidnapped daughter, Akikazu starts a frantic search for the teenager, brutalising all that get in his way. As his investigation develops however, he discovers that in many ways his daughter is even more monstrous than he is. Toronto 2014.
