During the week, thousands of people flock to the outskirts of Buenos Aires to buy cheap goods in La Salada, the largest informal market in South America. The place serves as backdrop for a mosaic of characters that intersect between its corridors: Korean Kim, who owns a clothing booth, does not approve of Yunjin, his daughter's, relationship with the young Argentine Luciano, an illegal immigrant Bruno and the romantic Huang, who sells pirated DVD and spends his nights watching Argentine films. Winner of the Films in Progress award at the Festival of San Sebastián 2013.
Juan Martín Hsu
Nasceu em 1979 em Buenos Aires, Argentina, e estudou design de imagem e som na Universidade de Buenos Aires. Em 2006, dirigiu o premiado curta-metragem Roupa suja, exibido no Festival de Viña del Mar. Nos anos seguintes, atuou como assistente de pós-produção e editor de roteiro em diversos filmes e dirigiu comerciais e documentários para a TV argentina. Este é seu longa-metragem de estreia.
