Three sisters, Justa, Lúcia and Luciana Quispe, work hard to survive, herding goats in the isolated Chilean wilds. Still under the shadow of the recent death of their older sister who raised them, the three women live a solitary and hopeless life. Until a visitor brings them news of a law that could change the way they live. Based on a real story that happened in 1974, a few months after the military coup that brought Pinochet to power. Screened at the Venice Festival 2013.
Sebastián Sepúlveda
Nasceu em 1972 no Chile. Estudou edição na EICTV, em Cuba, e roteiro em La Fémis, em Paris. Após trabalhar como roteirista e editor em filmes como La león (2007), de Santiago Otheguy, estreou na direção com o média-metragem O areal (2008), documentário sobre mitos e lendas de uma comunidade amazônica. As irmãs Quispe é seu primeiro longa-metragem de ficção.
