Paris, 1967. Jean-Luc Godard, the most promising filmmaker of his generation, is in the middle of shooting La chinoise, a film starring the woman he loves, Anne Wiazemsky, 20 years younger. Happy, passionate and seductive, they get married, but the film’s reception on its premiere raises in Godard deep questions. The events of May 1968 will further expand the filmmaker's process, turning him into a director both misunderstood and incomprehensible. Michel Hazanavicius
Nasceu em Paris e é descendente de lituanos. Seu filme O artista (2012) participou da competição de Cannes, onde ganhou o prêmio de melhor ator. Posteriormente, veio a ganhar cinco Oscar, incluindo o de melhor filme e direção. É também diretor de Mes amis (1999), Agente 117: uma aventura no Cairo (2006), Agente 117: Rio não responde mais (2009) e The Search (Festival de Cannes 2014).
