The story of a young man from the interior of France who travels to Paris to take the entrance exam to a prestigious carpentary school. He meets a woman in the street and falls in love. Back home, he becomes involved with his ex-girlfriend again. However when he finds he has been accepted by the school, he leaves for Paris, leaving his ex pregnant with his child.
